My LG flip phone does not answer phone calls and texts arrive hours late. What is the problem??

By default, it's set to "any key" which means when you press any key on the keypad, calls will be received. If it's then go to call settings and set the answer options to "any key" and save the settings.

go to phone setting's & change the time zone

call ur service provider they need to update ur account calll from another phone to troubleshoot with them

I would advice you to get you phone scanned immediatly for viruses.

go to menu then messaging click on voicemail then clear icon, this will clear the message waiting indicator

The text messaging is the functionality of the netwrok not the handset. Unless Verizon offer this service phone is not going to have that option. (Just like block numbers, etc.)You can call Verizon and see if they have some solutions since you are not going to be the only one with this problem.

If the same SIM card works well in another phone ie. your calls come through OK, then the problem must be with the actual phone set.
If not, ie. your calls are diverted to your voice box (answering service) then cancel the divert.
