Question about Nokia N73 Cellular Phone

Memory full? according to memory details, i have 657 MB left in my memory card, yet prompts come up that say "memory full , delete some data" or another prompt that says i cannot receive incoming messages and must delete data , there is also a flashing envelope icon. ive turned the phone on and off, as per advice of some people, yet it is still the same. I cant even do simple functions, i keep getting prompted to delete data, which i have done, removing 400 pictures, freeing up so much memory space, yet still i cannot receive incoming messages because of "memory full" SO FRUSTRATING, HELP PLEASE!!!

thanks tom, but i already tried that. I emptied all the contents of inbox, sent items, etc. I still get the same prompts. Im now searching for the way to set the memory in use to memory card, perhaps thats the problem, but I cant find it. I am so unhappy with this phone unit.

First you should have minimum of 150 KB free memory in your phone… its enough to open
    the Application

Then open the Application-->Lifeblog-->option-->settings--> item types--> unmark all the items… then restart your mobile…. whiles start up… the lifeblog application will clean up the database and your phone memory will back to normal….

Try this. this helps me..
turn off your n73 phone. turn it on. while your mobile is booting, hold
3 + * and the green call key at your left soft key until it ask your location.. select your location and BAM! your phone is new again and 44mb is back.
note: before doing this back up your files to your memory card and remove it removed it from your phone. =) This is SAFE!

I think the problem is that the SMS memory is diffrent from the memory card.

In order to fix your problem try and delete some of the msgs (SMS) that you have in the inbox, usually this will free up the memory you need

Enjoy your phone

I explore this solution bout your problem, my phone is n93 and do have EXACTLY the same problem you had.  first requirement, you should have Nokia LifeBlog installed on your phone. This will not work if you dont have.
first i saved some big file(.mp3 or .mp4) on my phone memory. this will be my wildcard in case the memory will became full again... when this occurs, i just MOVE that big file to the memory card. so i have now enough space to open application. Now, try to open LifeBlog, go to settings then try to change the settings to ALWAYS, then choose yes then restart your phone... thats it! your memory space goes back again...

Sandisc camera sd card - capacity full error

Your camera menu should have an option to FORMAT the card. This will need to be done. If you deleted all files on the card by using a computer, the files may not be completely gone without having the camera reformat the card. It is always most efficient and safer to have the camera do the deleting rather than a computer.

Can not send or receive sms.though memory space is free 746Mb

Here "Not Enough Memory" Suggests either the SIM Memory is full or the Phone Memory is full. It has nothing to do with te Memory Card.

As you say there is only one SMS in the INBOX, I suggest you check the SIM Memory. It will be full. Delete some data from SIM memory. It shud work

Receiving directly to memory card

if you want to recieve data on your phone above the free memory space, first try to transfer your files that was saved on your phone memory to memory card. or on safer way if you want to download data use mmc reader for downloading.
