Question about Sanyo Televison & Video

1 Answer

2 AV inputs, only 1 works at a time.

I just received a Sanyo 51cm flat screen CRT TV (not sure of the model number). It has 2 av inputs (1 rear, 1 front) and so I have plugged in my dvd player to the rear and set top box to the front. However, the TV only seems to have 1 AV channel. The set top box is showing through this channel, but the only way I can get the dvd player to work is by unplugging the set top box from the front inputs. Any idea if this is fixable so that I can switch between them without having to pull out cables every time? Thanks.

Hi. Don't you have an AV button on you remote ? If your game is connected to an AV input, try to use the channel (-) buttons on your TV. Numbers below 1 mostly give access to AV1, 2 etc.
Make sure the AV input can work, simply by connecting a DVD player to it.

Rear jacks

Connect the device with rear sockets, and select the input. As there is rear jacks to your TV AV-1 & AV-2 selection must be there. Enter into its Menu option, surf through, come to input selection window. and select proper selection here. Switch ON both the devices before selecting inputs. When correct input selection have been done, the logo of your external device will appear on screen.

I have the remote for my sanyo mts tv but i cant find out how to get it to switch to video mode so i can play games on it there is no button

There is button on your remote labeled TV/AV . Press the button to get a blank screen with AV written on the screen. If your game device is connected at the back to this AV socket ( Yellow / Red / White ) you will see the game menu display.
On some of the TV remotes it might not be written TV/AV but INPUT SOURCE or just a picture of a TV screen with an arrow pointing inwards ( that LOGO is the universal symbol for INPUT )

I have my cable plugged into a reciever and my reciever is plugged into the tv but my tv is stuck on a blue screen that says Video and when I press menu, the only options it lets me access is picture and...

Try pressing the channel down button, alternatively your unit may be on auto-sense and since it doesn't detect any other available inputs it wont change. Try disconnecting the receiver, powering down the TV and connecting the cable directly. Alternatively make sure the receiver unit, which model is it BT?, is setup to output on the AV jacks. What all types of outputs does the receiver have at the rear?

Hi there,
First make sure the video inputs are not locked using these instructions:
To set up the video lock:
1. Press MENU, then press or to display the LOCKS menu.
2. Press or to display the password entering mode.
3. Use the Channel Number buttons (0-9) to enter your password,
then press ENTER. The LOCKS menu appears.
4. Press or to highlight VIDEO LOCK.
5. Press or to select:
• OFF: Unlocks all video input sources.

Then it appears that choosing Video 2 using the TV/VIDEO button should enable the front input.

An entire manual is avialable here that should closely match your tv:

Tv magnovox tv

firstly try that tv to a different tv
if this works
then check your tv av connections in side tv
also check cables continuity
if this fails buy a AV/ RF converter, have your AV be connected to a converter, and let your output be RF feed to a tv, RF input, so instead of using AV on your tv you will be using RFchannel mode

Havin problem utilizing multiple inputs into Sanyo TV (avg-3259g)

if your tv has no AV IN AND OUT connections, purchase a converter from eletronic shops just around your area.
this will make you convert AV into RF signal and feed that to your tv. you have to go on a channel and search for right frequency the will search for you.

No remote-

Have you bought a universal remote for the tv? That is what we had to do to get to av mode and when you do make sure you try the input button before settling with the first code that works. We stopped at the first code that changed the channels and still could not get into av mode. Finally I tried the rest of the codes and found the correct one. HOPE THIS HELPS
