Follow these instructions carefully.
Make sure the monitor is in a place where you have easy access,
1. Unplug the monitor and disconnect it from CPU

2. Remove screws from the back, then remove the back, locate the flyback transformer on the circuit board, (big black thing with red wire connected to the screen). You should see three knobs on the side check to see which one is marked focus, (usually the middle)

3. Have someone stand in front of the monitor or make sure it is facing a mirror and the mirror is close to it.

4. Reconnect the monitor to the CPU, plug it in and turn them on, leave running for about ten minutes

5. Then using a screwdriver that fits, slowly turn the knob while confirming with the person standing in front of it whether it’s getting better or not. If its not try the other direction. If there is no one then check the reflection in the mirror. Once you are satisfied turn the monitor off for a minute then turn it back on, if it is ok then turn it off, unplug and disconnect it from CPU. Replace the back and screws.

Dont touch anything else with screwdriver while turning knobs. It is always best to wear shoes with rubber soles when working around electricity.

No display

did you install anything new or update your OS prior to this?, if so try to restore it using the rescue disc. But first try to enter BIOS while boot up to ensure you are getting a display & when you do so enter all default settings(F5).
Hope this helps.

My flat sdreen monitor suddenly went bladk, it's a Polaroid tlx03210b freind told me it was the back light circuit

hi there, guess he's right but to be precise you have problem with the inverter board that supply the back light. If in your case the audio is good but can't see the picture then thats might be it. Try to troubleshoot your inverter board for any deformed capacitors, busted fuse, etc. Just focus the repair for that and no need to repair the other section. hope this helps, please rate and vote

Sony Trinitron 29inch Color TV

The 2 blinks are an indication of over-current. This is usually because of a shorted component. The most common is the horizontal output transistor. This will be a 3-legged part attached to a heat sink close to the flyback transformer (part with red wire coming out the top). This transistor will be marked C4856 or something similar. Update this with the exact marking and I'll provide you with the full part number and approximate cost.

Check for unit posting any blink codes on the timer LED. Google "sony blinking codes" for the explanation. Try turning unit off for 4 hours to force a hard reset of your set, you need to unplug it. Sounds like a low voltage problem in the HV circuit.

I have trinitron Sony Television.. i got some problem with my TV, the Vertical screen size gone out of focus... I want to know about remote control Commander Codes from which i can resolve my problem and...

I think what your asking is for an on screen service menu?? That wont fix your problem. It sounds like you have a vertical height problem where the screen doesnt fill the entire screen with the Picture. The adjustments wont go out like that for no reason and all by them selfs. The vertical sweep IC went bad and is going to have to be replaced. This is not a job for the end user. You should call an experienced tech to assist you with this repair. Good Luck

H1 out of focus above 7xzoom?

HI, are you sure that there is no conversion lens setting activated in the setup menu? It sounds like that to me. These modes limit the ranges. I hope it will help, otherwise you will have to bring it back.
