Try to Emergency Ejec the tray.
There will be a small hole in front panel, near the tray. Use a hard Pin (3/4 inch) and press gently in the hole, but at the end you will feel a hurdle in the way, pust a bit hard, and the tray will come out.
The see if there is something stuck in it, or it needs greasing.

No No, this solution is generic, not any model dependent.

If you havn't seen any hole in the front, then there will definitly an emergency eject procedure.

And yes one thing more, the new DVD Players have now a feature called "Tray Lock"

The solution of this problem should be in the owner's manual.

If the problem prevails, contact the Vendor's.

    Best of Luck.

    Regards.

The DVD Player won't Open/Close and there is a DVD inside. How do I force it open?

Hello,

The DVD player jammed, that is why it is not opening.

To get it to open and close, you will have to unplug the player, then unscrew the screws around it. Take off the cover then you will have access to the disc tray. Then you can plug the player and press open, it will attempt to open but stop, then you can try to apply a little force in pushing the disc tray towards the open direction, it will sit properly and open up.

You can as well unscrew the disc tray and remove your disc, then you press the open button and sit the disc tray properly it will open freely and easily after then.

Take care and good luck

the disc is probably stuck out of the tray and stopping it from opening. unplug, and you should be able to pry open the front case and pull the tray out.
