I have no sound amp powers up but wont put out any sound .......wear can i buy rca jacks

the rca's need to be plugged in from the radio to the amp. if not thee will be no signal going to the amp thus no sound coming out of t. you can get rca's from your local car audio shop or even big box stores like walmart or bestbuy. get a good set thats twisted and had good shielding around the wires. they may be expensive but heir worth it

Hum sound when plug in. if i touch the input jack the hum sound disapear.

The best way to test your sound problem is to buy another pair of patch cables/RCA cables and try those, most likely you have a ground loop in the RCA cables, basically you are creating a ground when you touch it.

My rca jacks dont work when I plug both in but i can plufg one in and each speakerv works fine. I made sure there is no wires touching

sounds like an internally short inside the rca jack. does it work with either of them plug in? so as long as one is plugged in and not two they both work? if so it could be the amp but if you just tried one of the rca's then try both left and right at different times if one side of the rca's work and the other don't get a new set of rca's but if they do then you may have an issue inside the amp.

Need instal. guide

Hello cerber74,

Without the specific model, it's difficult to point you to the exact installation guide. However ADS is part of the "Directed Electronics" family which includes Orion, Precision Power, and Viper Audio.

Here's a link to the main web site. Click the "Support" page to download user manuals and installation guides.

Hope this helps.

My sub is making a humming sound

Hey austinpippen,
The noise you are experiencing is due to your rca plug shorting out causing a loop, in outher words, bad earth.
Try getting a noise filter, you take your rca plug and plug it into the noise filter, then wire it to the amp!
you can try a ground loop isolator or relocating your ground [earth].
I hope this helps you out.
Fingers crossed.

Weird sound

get a portable player with a head phone jack get one of those cables with a headphone plug on one end and RCA's on the other plug the portable player into the amp and hit play. If you get Boom then the RCA grounds in your head unit are blown and only a repair shop can fix that. Also double check all grounds making sure they are solit with the proper gauge wire. Under the rear seat belt bolts is a prime connection point. Check with different RCA's

Guitar Amp trouble...... Gets power but either no sound or very little.

Your problem sounds very similar to mine. I have a Marshal that does the same thing. It gets power but either no sound comes out or it's fragmented and buzzing. I took the circuit board out and found that a fuse had pulled/been knocked loose and was hanging free. If you take your amp apart, make sure you unplug it first. You're going to be be looking for something that look likes a small lego that suspended above the circuit board by wires coming out of both ends. If ones of these wires has pulled free then that's your problem. You can temporarily fix it by pressing the wire back into the circuit board and placing electrical tape over the top of the fuse to hold it all in place. If you do this, however, you can't play loud or it will rattle loose again and you don't really get more than about 10 minutes of play time. I'm about to solder mine whenever the guns arrives, so I'll let you know if this is a DIY project or not.
