This can be a frustrating process! I have had similar problems in the past, but perseverance is key!

Please be sure that you did all of these tricks:

1 Be sure to press and HOLD down the appropriate input button while pressing the AV power button for 3 full seconds.

2 Enter the code. Unfortunately, you may have to try all of the codes listed for your manufacturer. There are 23 for Phillips! There are "only" 8 for RCA, so you might try that compnent first.

It sounds like you are doing the right things, but is it possible that you are accidentally hitting a wrong button during the process? ie; using the TV power button instead of the AV power button? After completion of the task, are you then hitting the proper component button, such as DVD before trying to use the remote to control that device?

30176 is the code you need . Press Aux and then hold setup until Aux lights up. Enter code. If you want the remote to control the receiver all the time, press Aux and then hold setup until Aux lights up. Enter 993 then press Aux. Aux will flash, now press Cbl and Aux should light up when you use the volume.
