It usually means you're getting low on battery-power. Get some good recharchables Also, some things like downloading content can drain the power really quickly. Also, clean all your lead-plugs with solvent and make sure you have a good connection. If this doesn't help, go here; http://www.turtlebeach.com/support/49/ They really are a very helpful company. Good luck.
that sounds like alot of work.. TB wont honor warranties? i know of a great site that sells them refurbished for 43 dollars you can get a working pair of Turtle Beach X12 and save yourself the hassle.. i hope this helps!
If you have an X1 headset...
Try using the X1 headset and mic with your PC (sound card). Green plug goes to green jack, Pink plug goes to pink jack. Can you hear your voice thru the X1 mic on your PC? If yes, then the mic works but the chat-controller cable is probably broken and should be replaced. If no, then the mic may be broken and you should contact Turtle Beach's tech support for help -- [email protected].
Your power brick might be faulty. Unplug everything, wait 10 minutes and then plug it all back in. You can also try connecting your X1's USB jack to a nearby PC or laptop to see if that helps. As a last solution, you could just get a USB power adapter like Turtle Beach sells for the X1:

This will let you plug in your X1's power directly to an electrical outlet.
