With the refrig , you should have gotten a small bypass piece which fits in place of the inside filter . Install this to see if the filter is good or not . Water faster , replace filter , still slow , possible water valve problem . Also use a connector usually a 1/4 x 1/4 compression fitting , to bypass the outside filter for test purposes only .

Water dispenser runs very slowly. it doesn't seem to run slow to the machine, just through it. Is there an easy way to check the line? also, I read that there was a water reservoir somewhere... should I...

The filter may be the cause of the slow dispenser. They don't last forever. The inlet screen to the water solenoids where the water line connects to the fridge may be partially blocked. Heat from the night lite bulb can deform the plastic tube at the dispenser outlet and restrict the flow. Check all of the above and you'll find it.

Water flow of filter too slow

When was the last time you changed the water filter? If the filter is clogged from long usage it will slow down the water flow. Filters should be changed 6-12 months.

Low water flow after changing the water filter in a gf profile re

Just a suggestion, you could try installing a filter on the water supply line to the fridge. A nice one should dramatically lessen the frequency of replacing the one in the fridge. As for your the pressure being low, look for a kink or pinch in the water supply line.

Filtered water

the water line that run through the freezer door is frozen. its been a common problem on the GE built refrigerators. (that who built yours for sears) dis connect the water hose hehind the kick plate below the freezer door. use a hair dryer to warm up the inside and outside of the door around the dispenser area to defrost the line. it will take anywhere from 15 to 30 min to get in completly defrosted but it will once it is defrosted
