All it will be is a bad solder joint inside the unit. Very easy to fix with a soldering iron. If you are no good with a soldering iron this should be a quick and cheap repair.
Hi I have a Yamaha DSP 3090 Amp my right main Chanel is not working Amp goes off when i try to put the power on i think it goes on protction mode?after trying for 5to10 times it comes on, test mode all chanels work well not sure whats wrong ? can anyone slove my problem
Hi... Is the first set "stereo" settings and the 2nd set "surround" settings? If so that may mean that the surround speakers arent all connected right.
it's not actually a problem my friend. it could be a problem with the output circuitry and your protection mode is activated. there ar ecases that systems shuts off with no appraent reason and those are isolated cases. If that were so on your units, the problem lies in the systems board (CPU) a defect in the backup power supply. also grounding problem of capacitor leaks. if there is no trouble in the power amp section and works well suddenly trips, some modifications can be done. i dont know if that can be solved by your technical experts on how to modify the protection circuit. the principle on protection circuits of yamaha is just one and same. but newer models has got better but sensitive designs. 2095 is about 3years younger than a1000. 2095 is almost all digital when a1000 uses mechanical switches.
Well it sound like the know what is the problem, very common on yamaha , second class unit's, mind there better then other brand that I've seen and I do prefer yamaha, I feel they take more pride in there consumer products then others big brand.
There not easy to change, you can call yamaha and order the control first to see what it looks like then know how to attack it. Some of the model they will ship the complet board you won't know until you get it.
Keep in mind there very hard to reach, you will have to take the top off, buttom off and then the intired front off just to reach the control and then replace it, I have tried to clean them but they dont' last or they cause the contract to fall apport depending on the material they used and what type of contact cleaner you have used, some or plastic frendly.... this is the one you need, you can also use brake cleaner, I find better, but they don't lubricate like contact cleaner witch has silicon lubrication in them.
Sounds like a cold solder joint around the imput to the power amp stage on the board. If you can get to the board take a bright lamp and a magnifying glass to chek for solder joints that are frosty looking .If so heat them up and dab solder to make them shiny.
Good Luck
