Cannot set time and Oven will not operate

The Clock will not set (keeps flashing for Auto) and this seems to prevent oven from turning on. Cannot turn overn on. Tried everything in the manual to fix clock - no avail.

Depending on the make of oven, you have to press the buttons in a certain sequence if it is a digital one, try pressing the buttons in sequence, sometimes you have to press 2 together, and a third one at the same time,if it is a anologue timer, then make sure you can see the symbol of a hand in the display.
If you cannot get the timer of auto, then it is probably faulty.
