You can get a DVD burning software tool with menu creating option. For example. you can try Leawo DVD Creator which not only offer many templates for your to make a customized DVD, but also enables you to create your own DVD menu.

This will depend on what software you are using. But most have a make DVD etc option. Selecting this will give you the menu choices that comes with the package. Once you have done that it will show you how to render the video.

How to Render YouTube-Capable 720p HD Videos in Sony Vegas

Welcome to my tutorial on rendering or exporting videos in 720p high definition that you can upload to YouTube. [NOTE: Entire tutorial is available in video format at the bottom of this article]
Required tools:

Sony Vegas HD video editing software - http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/vegassoftware

K-Lite Video Codec pack - http://www.codecguide.com/download_k-lite_codec_pack_full.htm (install this codec pack after you've installed Sony Vegas and before you begin editing your video)

Video file(s) you wish to edit

Once you have Sony Vegas installed and the codec pack installed, open Sony Vegas. You will have an empty project window similar to this one:

Now find your video files and drag them into the Project Media tab in Sony Vegas. Next, drag all of your videos onto the video timeline at the bottom of the Sony Vegas window and align them in the correct order.
Next, right-click all of the video files on your timeline, go to "Switches," and uncheck "Maintain Aspect Ratio" and click "Disable Resample." Your "Switches" menu should look like below.
Last step of the editing process! Next, drag the yellow triangle at the top-left corner of your video triangle all the way to the end of your video clips. This tells Vegas to only render that much of the timeline. Click File -> Render As... and type in your final video name and choose the location you wish to save it to, but do NOT click Save yet! Click the drop-down menu next to "Save as type" and select "MainConcept AVC/AAC (*.mp4)". Next, click the "Custom" button, next to the "Template" drop-down menu. For each tab in this window, make your setting match exactly how they do in the pictures. "Video" tab:
"Audio" tab:
"Project" tab:
Finally, type in a template name, next to "Template:" at the top, like "YouTube 720p HD" and click the save icon. This saves your template for future use. Then click OK at the bottom. Back at the Render As menu, make sure the template you just made is selected, and click save. Depending on the length of your video and the speed of your computer, this can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours to complete, so make sure your computer stays awake and has power to complete this job. Once it's done, Ta-Da! You have a YouTube-ready HD video ready for you to upload and share! (Or to FaceBook, or other popular sites, as well.)
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and it was helpful.
Here's a video tutorial for further aid, however it also includes information for recording PC video games as well. <utube src="YFbuFM2HH3w">Adam Taylor, D3M0L1SH3R

Problem with black screen when rendering in Sony Vegas Platinum 9

I have found a solve for my issue which was that only the text and audio rendered and the video remained black all the way through. It is simple but I don't know why it is set to this on default so that you have to change it all. The process however is quite simple.

Easiest way is to highlight the whole video track once you have completed it and you are happy.

If you have more than 1 event (multiple events) click on the first event then use the bar to move to the end of your video in the timeline, hold down shift and click on the last event. You should now see the whole video track selected.

Once this is done, hovering your mouse anywhere over the video track right click and bring up the menu. Go to switches and as you can see in the picture I have circled in red what is important and the reason why video is not being rendered.

Now change the option to disable resample below:

and thats it deselect your video and try rendering. This fixed my render issue I hope this fixes yours

HOW TO DO A VIDEO CLIP

Make sure your camera has video capability.

Access the options menu and see if you can set it to record with audio.

Click the shutter once to record, click it again to end the recording.

Setting a timer may be a good idea too.

Once youre done, upload them onto your computer, and you're done.

Is editing needed?

I have to keep rendering after every little edit in final cut pro

I found a video online that helps with this problem. It might be due to your render settings. Also, some edits do in fact need rendering, some edits do not. Take a look at this video and I hope it solves your problem:

Corel x2 problem: Unable to Load Library when sharing to VCD

Hey everyone, I faced the exact same, excruciatingly frustrating problem. After a quick search, I found forum threads telling me that when Corel Video Studio was modified to suit Vista, something about its 3D transitions got messed up.

So, if you face this problem while using Corel Video Studio on Vista, check that you have removed all 3D video transitions and try rendering again.

Video Editing Do I need to upgrade?

Get a new system... Sorry if this isn't what you want to here but RD-ram is stupidly expensive. 512mb of RD-ram is usually a few hundred dollars and hard to find. Since you have RD-ram that means you also have a Pentium 4 processor, probably in the range of 1.2 -1.8 Ghz

Vegas is a great video editing program but it needs way more than speed that that to render a video (in a decent amount of time. it will render on a slower processor, it will just take forever!). You will be much happier of the results if you just replace the computer rather than try to upgrade it.
