make sure power is on, cable is plugged in between printer and computer, and that the driver is loaded on the computer.

I assume you are connecting via USB, the printer board on this is very basic and you have to make sure you have a good pc and the correct driver, try a smal page in notepad and then compare it to something in word and see the difference, I'm not sure if there is a memory upgrade for this machine if there is it may help.

Please run manual calibration
(take 2 or 3 labels and load the labels under the printhead and sensors, close printhead, press enter,
if ask for "take the ribbon," just open the print head, take the ribbon out from the sensors, close printhead, enter.
then if ask for load media, just put everything like you normaly setup the printer and press enter. The printer gona run the calibratio, Please close the door case, this can afect the sensors data.
save
tur off the printer and back on again.
run sensor profine. check if sensor check the gap (smal mountan )

please check page set up and put paper properly on the tray

your printer is A4 Size printer it will not print A3 size

if you fill to print A3 go to HP site and support page find your solution

You can change the default font of your printer from the settings panel at the front. Carefully go through the manual and you will be amazed how easy it is to effect such changes. However, if is attached to a computer, it will call the shot as default font of the system overrides that of the printer. Good luck

Hi usually sensor of cartridge unit fail which send a wrong signal.
you may try:
1)take out cartridge unit looking carefully a tiny switch
at one side with a smal metal stander or a plastic button(you may hear click sound) just check this sensor position and adjust to normal where the sensor can active by the cartridge. put back cartridge test, do next if still not detect.
2) try to take out this sensor or check it's cable wire connection and using meter test, should be connect when click.
