You can replace the downrod with any other length. Not a problem. Just make sure that you get the same diameter. Have done it several times.

Thermal protection

The thermo protection is located under the shrink wrap where the blue power wire comes into connection with the motor field winding and the cap feed. The continuity between the plug end and the blue wire at the Capacitor will be broken.

Wiring a single phase 14 in fan

please do not rate this as an answer, just wanted to see if you have a model number of the fan, motor, speed controller, etc. many people here can help you, but providing an answer without knowing exactly how the default wiring is set up is never a good idea.

Can i replace a tie rod {inner} on a 94 ford mustang , drivers side without taking off rack and pinion. I need to get a roll pin off the inner tie rod and thats the problem it looks pressed in not set...

Real simple, assuming you know how to take the outer tie rods off. You have to take the clip that holds the plastic boot on off, then slide back the plastic boot, and you'll be able to unscrew the whole inner tie rod assembly. The hardest part of the whole process is installing the new ones to the exact settings of the old ones

Please help. I'm trying to take the two fan

There should be a simple retaining clip at the outside of each of those fans(much like the ones that go around small hoses). Take off those clips and slide the plastic fan off the rod. Of course, sometimes such things are not as easy as they sound. If the rod shows rust or grime, you may have to hold the rod with a pair of pliers (in the portion that the fan will not slide over) and turn the plastic fan a few times to break if loose from the rod, then work is slowly off. Some steel wool on the rod before you replace the fan blades might make it easier to put new ones on.
Hope this helps you.

Light or fan will come on with without remote

Most remotes use an X10 format that transmits over wires .. Odds are someone else in your neighborhood is on the same code. Does the light come on with regularity? If it does than that is your problem. Without knowing the exact model I can't tell you how to change the code. When you change it you must change the receiver and the transmitter

At the bottom of the shift lever there is a threaded rod with a nut on the front-side of it. Unscrew that nut and then thread it onto the rear-side of the rod. When you tighten the nut on the opposite side, it will act as a puller and get the shaft out for you.
