Question about Intel D845GVSR Motherboard

1 Answer

My computer won't start. I went online and was walked through possible issues with no success. We took it to a comp. tech. He said he just jumpstarted the computer and reset the clock and it was fine. We took it home and it will not start. I've tried different outlets and power cords but to no avail.

There are three possible cause of this; one check yoour processor fan its unfortunate u dint tell weather it does not come on at all or it comes on and the goes off if it does not come on at all change your power pack, two if it does supply power, and goes off immidiatelly, change your processor fan if that does not work, your board is bad. three if it boots and the shutdown, it means your processor it self is bad.

It is possibly a setting somewhere set when you did the re-tune, causing all of the channels tuned to be protected. try looking through your TV's settings for something that might help. Otherwise, we could really use a brand/model # to help you out any more.

The disk might not have a working OS on it.

It you have successfully run the disk utility the disk probably in full working order. I think that the OS on the disk is either missing, corrupt or not compatible with the computer you are running it on.

Dvd won't play

Go to default programs set your DVD player to open and auto start all video. So that when you place a DVD or CD in the drive it will auto load without you having to keep right clicking and opening the video. What may be happening is you may be clicking to open to many times and it has to catch up to open the video possibly. I would go that route and see if this fixes the matter. John

Getting frequent blue screens and error codes on a Toshiba Satellite E105-S1802. Took it into best buy and they couldnt find the issue.

Contact Toshiba and the Tech Support will walk you through a series of possible solutions. If they can't resolve your problem, they may provide you with a return box to ship it to them. If you're still under warranty this should be free. If not, they usually charge $69.99 for the initial diagnostic, then contact you with any further estimate of charges.

You can turn Sleep and Hibernate off in Windows but this sounds like it might be your Bios putting the system to sleep. In windows go to power options and turn sleep and Hibernation off but double check your Bios as well for a possible setting there that will put the computer in sleep or Hibernate mode.

3. remove the battery
and after press and hold the power button for 60 seconds without any charger and the battery. After the 60 seconds replug the battery and the charger and turn the computer .

Xoom x6 adsl modem problem

possible issue with freequent connection loss when going over 2 comp on a network are possible issues of collisions on the network meaning that sometimes more often then not, it is possible for two comp to end up recieving same ip address fr modem.

solution: first find out ip range supplied by the router in modem. then statically assign ip address to each comp

this is done by going into tcp/ip properties of either nic or wireless card and set to use following ex

NOTE: IP RANGE USUALLY LAST SET OF NUMBERS IN IP ADDRESSING TIPPICAL RANGE IS BETWEEN 10 TO 99

ip address: 192.168.2.12 (static ip address for computer)

subnetmask: 255.255.255.254 (generic subnetmask)

default gateway: 192.168.2.1 (ip address of router)
