Problem for Sony CDX-CA700X CD Player

CD player no longer works

The radio works fine, it isloud and clear, but the CD player has problems. When I insert a CD the player tries to read the CD, any CD, new, old, MP3, OEM, the player tries to read the CD but after a few seconds it gives up and ejects the CD.

This is a failing optical lens assembly. it will need to be replaced soon. try cleaning the laser with a cleaning disk. this may fix it for a short time but, you will eventually need to repair the entire assembly soon.
