SOURCE: Pump will not work in high speed

Clean the relay contacts on the board. Cut the power, ofcourse. Also, try switching the hot wire on the low side of the pump to the high side to rule out the pump.

SOURCE: I have power to the spa, but it won't power up

there are at least two separate circuit breakers feeding your spa and two reset buttons. the circuit breakers are located a few feet away from the spa in an electrical box.

the reset buttons are in the mechanical space of the spa where the pump and heater are located.

check to see that the flow switch is working properly, it may not have enough flow on low speed to allow the heater to turn on. Make sure your filter/s is/are clean. If you have a pressure switch instead of a flow switch, it may need to be adjusted or replaced.

The pump runs continuously at low speed.

Are you sure... Continuously?
non stop?
maybe just a long time, and is off when you are not around?
continuously = 24-7

its possible your programmed filter cycle is set for 2 long cycles. ?

Balboa VL700S control panel jets 1 not working

Your problem is going to be in the circuit board in the spa control box under the skirt.
You have a bad relay.

Balboa 52502 val 5m7

have you cleaned your filter recently. Sound like there may be a low flow error in low speed
either that or the start capacitor on your pump is bad and the pump will not come on in low speed unless you first give it a boost in high speed
anytime you ask for heat with insufficient flow there will be an error message

What is the difference between a Balboa VS500Z and a VS501Z

The Balboa VS500Z supports one two speed pump, an ozone, and 12v spa light and an optional circulation pump.

Whereas the VS501Z will support a two speed pump, a single speed pump or blower, an ozone, a 12v spa light and an optional circulation pump.

Basically the two are very similar except that the 501Z will support an additional one speed pump or blower.

The best suggestion if you are doing a replacement is to purchase one of the Value Pack Retrofit Kits available through Balboa. You basically get everything you need for the replacement, including the topside, cables, and overlay.

You can find everything you need to know about making the replacement on the following page:

BALBOA VALUE PACK VS RETROFIT KIT

Hope that helps!
