I need a replacement chain for a mcculloch em450s. Will any chain 16" chain work or do I need a specific one?

You need to know the pitch the gauge and the drive link count to get the correct chain for any saw, on this saw it will most likly be a 3/8 pitch a 050 gauge all you need is the drive link count which will probably be 56 for a 16"

Where would I buy a Chain for a McCulloch 3805 AV 18 chainsaw, that takes a 3/8 pitch .050 gauge with 60 drive links? So far I have gone to 3 places with no luck finding one?

Try Amazon or e-bay for these.
Also type in the model of saw and brand into the computer and call those dealers or distributors who advertise these saws for sale.
God bless your efforts.

Husqvarna 450e saw has an H-30 chain with a bar gap of ).050 inches. What is the width of the H-30 chain teeth that run in this bar ?

.325" pitch, .050 gauge. The cutter tooth width is a little wider at the top front, 0.075" and then narrows as it is sharpened down to 0.055"

What other chain can i use on a stihl 025

You need to know three things about your saw as to what chain will interchange....1. Pitch of the chain. 2. Guage of the guide bar. 3. Number of chain links.

Your little 025 Stihl wil probably have an .050 guage and a .325 pitch. The standard guages for small saws are .043, .050 with .058 and .063 being reserved typically for the larger displacement saws.

The pitch is the length of three links, divided by two and the number of links is kinda self-explanatory. (The 025 USUALLY is set up for the .325 pitch.)

Any chain that matches the three measurements for your respective saw should interchange. Hope this helped instead of adding to the confustion......

What Stihl chain should actually go with this bar?

Almost all of the Stihl bars that use 3/8" pitch chain on the 3003 mount bars use .050 gauge.
Where the bar says 3/8, it should also list the gauge and number of drive links. Sometimes these are worn off though. The 25" bar should take 84 drive links. (same as most 24" bars in other brands)

What size chain do I need for a McCullough MacCat CS38?

Chains have three requirements...pitch, guage and number of links. The pitch is the distance on center between chain links, the guage will be one of three, .043, .050 or .063. To get the number of links, you have to count each link and spacer. If you are missing the chain, you may have to take the saw to a service center and have them tell you.

Chain replacement, what kind and how?

Three things you need to know to get a new chain, the pitch, the gauge and the drive link count, some of this information should be on the bar itself, if it has 91 stamped on it, it will be a 3/8 pitch 050 gauge, 18" is normally 62 drive links, so the chain is a 91sg 62e

I have husquavarna chain saw s/n 95212H01984 with sticker that says 41 Air Injection. Need to buy chain and/or chain bar. Need to know the model number for this serial number. Can you provide

The saw is a 41, as standard it ran a 15" bar and chain, in the UK it ran a .325 pitch, however in the US, it ran a 3/8 pitch chain, as you should change the sprocket if fitting a new chain, i would put it on .325 if it is not already, the sprocket is part no. 530069342, the 15" chain is 501840664, and the guide bar is 508926164 these are .325 pitch 050 gauge and 64 drive links, this combination will cut much faster than the 3/8 low profile combination.

Tneed a chain for a poulan chain saw--44134 py - 16 3/8 is stamped on blade

Any good chainsaw shop will make a chain up for you, it is a 3/8 pitch 050 gauge ( 91sg ), all you need now is the drive link count ( probably 56 ) and you should be able to order on line, this is very standard chain

Replacement chain and bar size

To purchase a new chain you need to know a few things, the pitch of the chain on your saw, .325/.375/.404, then you need to know the gauge of the chain 050/058/063 and finally the drive link count, this is the inner drive teeth, this will automatically give you the lenght, for example .325/050/64 drive links is a standard 15" chain for a Husqvarna semi pro saw.
This information should be etched into the guide bar, if not your local dealer should be able to tell you if you show him the chain
