Question about Canon Pixma MP800 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I got the message Type Of Print Head Is Incorrect On my Pixma IP6700D I had been using a Continuous Ink System with the chips from the original cartridges. My first guess was that one of those chips had gone bad, and since the Continuous Ink System had not been working that well anyway (trouble with ink flowing through the tubes), I completely replaced the Continuous Ink System with new cartridges. I had cleaned the contacts on the chips on the of the Continuous Ink System. To my chagrin, I still get the same message even with the new cartridges (with new chips). Where (in the printer) do those chips make contact ? I would now guess that the printer side of the contacts may need cleaning. Or, does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks very much.
The printhead is worn out, you need a new one
