If you just purchased and opened the box-
- open your package and take out the instructions on what do to for setting up (not the manual)
- connect your modem (source of internet) to the internet port of your router with the cable provided by your router packaging.
- with the other available cable (that you already had) connect to one of the 4 ports (prefferably port #1) and the other end to your PC/Mac
- If everything was powered on already during the connection of all these cables, you can to unplug the power to the internet modem (source of internet connection) and your router now.
- Plug in the Internet Modem power to the wall and wait 30-45 seconds... then plug the power to the router and wait another 30 seconds.
- now, try to go on the internet with your computer.
- if it still doesn't work, just restart your computer 1 time
