I heard that some portable air conditioners can leak water from the unit after being operated for about an hour or so if they are not on a level floor. <br />
I solved this with my DeLonghi air con after discovering the floor my unit was on had about 1 - 2 mm difference from one side to the other. By buying a small builder's liquid level (like you use to keep a line of bricks aligned) I used a small piece of wood (ruler thickness) under one side of the air con and no more leaks! Hope this helps someone. Kez, Perth WA
All portables, alllll, you have to put unit in
window with a slight tilt, as the unit runs
it creates condensation that condensation
is the water leaking out the back it's supposed
to do that, I have seen people hook a hose up
an let it drain in a bucket.
even your car a/c leaks water
Most Portables have a small drain tube at the back lower portion of the unit, sometimes there tucked away, so just inspect the area towards the bottom and back of the unit and look for a little tube, sometimes there is a cap on the end that you simply pull off and drain the excess water out of the unit.
Sounds like the drain line is blocked you would have to take this unit apart in order to check this. I would use a can of air to blow out the leakage. Also make sure the unit is level
