kenmore progressive upright filter is being bypassed, clogging screen at outlet. Tried new filter, no change. 7 or 8 passes with the vacuum and the screen at outlet gets clogged.

Take the filter out and hold your hand over the filter connection. Turn it on and see where the air is being bypassed. What you see should suggest the fix.
