Try zooming out by double-tapping somewhere on the screen (Try it a few times), then go to the top of the page by scrolling up with your finger. Eventually you should see the address bar and be able to type in a new address.

I have a Mac- lost my telus homepage-how do i get it back????

Hi Jeanne.
Open Safari browser. In the search bar at the top pre the address of the website you are wanting ( for example and hit the "return" key on your keyboard.
Once you are on the telus page, navigate to the exact page you would like to open every time you start Safari. Example "My Account".
Then click on the name "Safari" to the top left of your screen, next to the Apple logo.
Select "Preferences". A settings box will appear, make sure you select the "General" tab at the top left of this settings box if it isn't already the main window.
you will then see the name "Homepage:" with a field to the right of it. Under the name "Homepage" though you will see a box that says "Set to Current Page", select that and the field above will populate with the current telus webpage you navigated to earlier.
From then onwards, each time you open Safari, it will present you with the telus page you require.

Cant get old safari web page error code 36

As far as i am aware, this is a problem with previous versions of Safari. Try updating, using Software Update from the apple menu, and update to the latest version of Safari, and if possible, your whole system.
This should resolve the issue
Hope this helps

I click the safari icon, it bounces then stops and does nothing. i have already uninstalled and reinstalled it

First make sure you have the most current Safari installed, Next turn your computer off and leave off for about two-five minutes, the longer the better. Next try to start Safari, if it still does not start up on it's own uninstall the software completely, meaning taking it out of your applications (for mac), control panel install/remove (for windows), go to and install the current software for Safari, make sure it's from Apple (which is free), and not anywhere else, downloading from anywhere else can cause a virus to download. Once you install, it will prompt you to restart your computer, do so, after you restart your computer, Safari should open with no problem!

Screen shows wrong URL Safari won't load.

By the way you are stating your issue, I am not sure if you are referring to Safari loading to an incorrect URL and that it is not launching. So to make sure I cover all bases I will provide advice for both.

If Safari is loading to a URL when you first launch it, assuming you are referring to the URL of the Home page you need to see, all you have to do there is launch Safari, click on the Safari name in the menu, select Preferences.
* Then under General> "Home page:", make sure the home URL is set to the web address you want to see as your home page.

If Safari is not launching on the other hand, here is what you need to do in order to resolve that issue:

font.f1 {font: 12.0px Helvetica} • From your desktop,
•Click anywhere on a blank space on your desktop. Now you should see Finder listed near the Apple menu icon.

• From the Finder menu, click on Go, then Home from the
drop-down menu. This will take you to your Home folder.
• Locate and open the Library folder
• Within Library folder look for the Preferences folder and open it.

• Locate and remove to the Trash, these files:
Now click the back button in the Finder window to go back to the Library view.
* Locate and remove to the Trash, the folder entitled "Caches"

* Once you have done that, close all windows and other applications, click on the Apple menu icon and select from the drop down menu Logout<username>.
This will take you to the main login window
* simply log back in to the same user account.

Don't attempt to launch Safari, just yet. Instead run this last procedure to repair file/folder permission on your Mac OS X volume (including Safari)
font.f1 {font: 13.0px Myriad Pro} -RUN DISK UTILITY FIRST-

Go to Finder Menu bar
• Click Go > Utilities > Disk Utility and open up Disk Utility app.
• Click on Macintosh HD volume (or on the name you have changed
this volume to.)
• Select "Repair Disk Permissions"
**Let Disk Utilities run this repair permissions until completion
- This is not often a necessary step, but in the many of the hands-on software and Mac OS X troubleshooting

* Once Disk Utility is complete and there are no errors in red in the completion summary (if there are errors listed in red, re-run DU to see if those error will clear- if they don't reply back to this post right away and let me know what the exact error message is), quit Disk Utility.

• Now relaunch Safari and let's see if it launches ok for you.

If this is still not resolving the issue you are having with Safari, just let me know.

I would try reseting the router if it is yours that you are trying to get on. Then make sure all the setting inside the router are set to default. you can access these by typing or then admin admin. Your ipod touch should be set to default setting also (DHCP and HTTP Proxy off)
