Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
Cmos battery being dead will not cause this issue. you can actually remove the cmos batter and power the unit on fine. your issue sounds like it more motherboard related. check this link to see if you qualify. others have qualified for this motherboard replacement. i have sent many laptops in for no power/no video/no boot issues
