Is memory compatible with your laptop?
Take both the memory Dimms out and try just the new one. If it does not boot. Return it and get a different one that will work.

Reseat memory, dirty contacts could be to blame. If not remove one stick at a time and see if it boots. A stick may have gone bad.

PCV R44G, won't boot, no fans, won' turn on.

Remove the Power Cord, Open the Case and remove one of thememory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x onit with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the nextmemory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set itaside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If itboots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and putit into the open memory chip slot and try booting.

My computer won't boot up, it will beep three times (does not repeat). According to the "Intel Destop Board D975XBX2" Manuel it says the memory is bad, So I swapped it out but I am still...

Hi,
The one that told about memory is bad, he is correct, that beeping sound from your board means memory deficiency.
Best way is to put one memory at a time just to test which memory card is defective. If both is defective, try to put a new one.
Upon booting up, the memory can be seen.
Hope that helps you out.
Thanks for using FixYa!
