Problem for Samsung DVD-VR357

Samsung dvd vr-357; recorded DVD only plays on the player

I have a samsung dvd vr-357 and i decided to record my vhs video onto a dvd. everything goes well, and the dvd also plays, but only on that player! I can't even view the files on my PC or any other dvd player. How can i record a video so it is playable everywhere, or atleast on my PC.

- I tried to finalize it, the player does it but after a while it just shuts down. When I insert the DVD into another player, it doesn't play, when I insert it in a pc the pc crashes and doesn't play it.

You have to "Finalize" the disc before it will play on other units. Go to Disc Menu, Second choice listed(not in front of it right now) Selections to right will offer disc Finalize. Say YES.
