Do you mean that:
if you program it for bake (or broil) mode it acts like it is working but then shuts off after about 30 seconds?

also, is it actually a jtp10gp?

this is characteristic of a control board failure, I believe it is no-longer-available, good news is that we can fix it for you at www.fixyourboard.com

Microwave oven noise

Take it back to the dealer and enquire if this is normal. If it isnt, then exchange it for another and check in the store itself, before you take it home. If it is normal, then you have nothing to worry about :)

Oven makes a noise when I turn it on.

If it is a fan assisted oven , then it sounds like a noisy oven fan.
It could be a worn or dry bearing in the fan motor. if you open the oven door , you should be able to tell if it is the fan by listening to it carefully.
The other possibility is if it has a cooling fan in the back or on the top of the oven, it could also be that causing the prob, these are about the only things that could be making a noise, as there are no other moving parts that could make a noise.
PLz rate my solution.

Thanks.

GE JKP45 double wall oven shuts off

This sounds like a loose connection (solder joint) on the main control board. I had one that had a similar problem. checked the price of a control board $350. I took the control panel off, took the board apart and found a loose connection on one of the relays. resoldered the bad connection. oven works fine now.

Self cleaning oven instructions

Self cleans generally do a good ****on small messes in 2 -2.5 hours. Larger messes take 3. Leaving the racks in is okay...but they will likely lose their shiny appearance. Manuals are on the GE website.

Try removeing power too unit for a couple minutes. You can due this by turning off breaker. Sometimes this will reset board. If not, you may need an ERC board.
