How long does it take to charge the battery to a full charge...thanks,judy....on a presario V2000

Usually 8 hours is what is suggested when you get a new battery. i like to burn down the power on the battery completely till it turns the unit off, then let charge for 24 hours just to reset the battery correctly.

It depends on the type of battery. If it is a nicad, it will get a mamore from usage. Run it down to shutoff a few times, giving it a full 8 hour charge each time. If it is a nimh or lithium, it won't take on a memory but still needs at least 4 hours to get a full charge. The charging ability on all batteries depends on the age of the battery.
