Question about Bugaboo Gecko - Green Standard Stroller

1 Answer

Bugaboo Gecko Stroller

When I place the handlebar in the 'rough terrain' position over the small swivel wheels, the action automatically engages the brake which I cannot then disengage. Accordingly, the buggy is useless as it cannot be pushed. I have tried adjusting the cable but even when it is loosened to its maximum length the brake still engages.
Please help me Obi One Kenobi, your my only hope!!!!!!!

Is it possible to buy or adapt the rough terrain wheel for the bugaboo cameleon to swivel?

all bugaboo strollers came with swivel front wheels . There is a white sliding button on the front of the swivel assembly that locks the swivel action. The swivel castors are only on the front but can be assembled incorrectly on the rear of the stroller
go to google and type in and there is a pdf manual for the strollers.including how to assemble and the wheels and castors.

Im looking to buy a bugaboo gecko hood but cant find one would the frog fit it

Not many Geckos in NZ and I've not worked on one but hoods are just held in place by canopy wires that insert into a clip on canopy holder. shows the wires are the same for the Frog and Gecko so you should be fine,

A friend lent me her old Bugaboo Frog. It has been working fine. I am able to remove the seat and fold the chassis into the folded position. When I try to unfold the chassis, I am able to get the...

This should only happen when the seat/carrycot frame has not been put on. If this happens when the seat is on, then I would suggest that this is returned for a repair ( as this could be dangerous.

Hope this helps.

Bugaboo Gecko Collasped Chassis won't open.

To open the Gecko, follow the steps below:

Stand behind the folded stroller, ensuring the handle is on the top of the stroller.
Bend down and place your hands on the handle bar, DONT lift the pram, make sure it stays on the floor.
Push the white button on the inside of the left hand side of the handle bar.
Pull both triggers (located inside of the handle bar) toward you and lift the handle up.
Stand up-right, and place your foot onto the bottom of the two axles which you can see in front of you (make sure that you have your foot on the axle which connects the two small swivel wheels).
Whilst you are standing, with your hands on the handle bar and your foot on the axle, push the axle outwards with your foot away from you and slightly upwards. This should open the chassis up-right. Please note that the chassis will appear to be unstable and move, this will stop the minute that you click on your carseat/carrycot or seat unit.

I hope this helps.
