Question about Televison & Video
first we check on the video PCB board
a) the video .... board operates on at least 200v
b) getting a green raster means the other video output transistors are not working.
c) check the supply rails of 12v or 9v , supply might be low or intermittent
Second we check on the power supply
a) check if there are bulge capacitor on the power board
b) check the supply rail of 12v
check the diode
check the capacitor
3rd if you have auxiliary power supply
you need to supply the 12v with it and note down the voltage reading on it
a ) if the voltage drops more when connected
b) or the circuits have getting too much current
4th a good multimeter will help you the most in assessing where the trouble might be
Voltage reading might be the first to do and have a note on it
Visual indication of bulge indicates a faulty circuit
Visual indication of cold solder on PCB foil path indicates fault on the circuit
hope my suggestions helps, thanks for using Fixya!
