Question about IBM ThinkPad T21 2648 Notebook

T21 Thinkpad will not boot up

My T21 boots up so far then nothing. I have disabled the Display Adaptor Device and it boots up but the graphics are poor. Any suggestions.

Re: T21 Thinkpad will not boot up

You can boot it in safe mode (F8) then change the driver for the display adapter. If you give me a model and type #, I will locate these for you. Will look like 1234-UH7 on the bottom.

Forgot boot password t21

Which password are you talking about? Windows, BIOS, hard drive? Anyways all of these can be reset with the hiren boot disc.

IBM Thinkpad T21 will not boot, worked fine 30 minutes ago...

| | Installing this wireless adapter couldn't have fried the motherboard, right? ||I would not have thought so .. the software may have caused an issue --- as the PC boots tap F8 you should get a menu - choose "last known good configuration" ---- if that does not work, reboot and again tap F8 as it boots and this time choose safemode - then see if you can restore start>programs>accessories>system tools>system restore> choose a date to before the data you installed the wireless adapter software

Thinkpad T21 won't boot - fast ticking sound

i thnk maybe you ram is the culprit try to place the ram firmly in th socket to start your Thinkpad.... the beeps represent a hardware fault
you might have to count the beeps and tell me how many are exactly there?

Lap to stops on Bios screen

Reseat your RAM modules, remove and insert them a few times so they make proper electrical contact in the slots.

IBM Thinkpad T21 doesn't boot from CD-rom

Check the following:

1 make sure that the cdrom is okay. if not sure then try cleaning the cdrom lense which can be found in the cd tray,

2 make sure that the cd disc you are trying is a bootable one

ThinkPad T21 and S-Video Output

the lcd display screen has to be set to 1024x768 60hz refresh rate 1st to be able to send the signal to a tv.
then try the function/monitor on keyboard or boot with it connected.

Boot up issues

run cmos bios and configured boot device..first boot cd rom drive..
then reinstall/repair your os...

Nothing appear on the screen

Remove any devices connected and power it on by itslef, either on battery or power source, if it doesnt work, it may have bad processor, When they go bad most laptops wont boot period.
