Hi, I dropeed my Nikon Coolpix S10 camera once. From then onwards it gives me ''Lens Error'' & some noise. seems to be the noise from gears. And once i switch ON, it give me the above two and i am not able to switch it off, ultimately i have the remove the battery to kill.
Is there any Service centre in Melbourne to fix it. Also advice me on how much will it cost to fix it
Turn the Coolpix S10 on using the button to the left of the 'OK' rocker which has a picture of a camera and an arrow beside it.
You may need to hold this button in for several seconds before it responds.
The camera should turn on in the mode used to view stored photos, and this may bypass the lens error message.
Pressing the button again can get the camera to switch to picture taking mode.
This worked on my S10 after I dropped it.
Hope it works for you!
regards

It's probably the stabilizer. I have tried to repair a couple of these, without results. The lens replacement has to be very expensive.

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!
