I have a salton ex-96 I have not used in years. It says to close cap tightly. It does not tighten is there suppose to be a gasket in the cap

I have a Salton EX-96 that I use everyday, and it does not appear that there is a gasket in the cap. I am looking for a filter and filter basket for either the Salton ex-96, or a DeLongi Bar 1 FU. The filter assemblies are the same, and I want to send either machine to my Niece in Montana. The DeLongi parts are no longer available(each machine is prob over 10 yrs old!). They both still work amazing, so I would love to give her one of them, but I need the filter/basket.

My tv picture is light and hard to see and will periodically shut off.its only abput 5 yrs old/

For a Philips LCD TV, that's at least two years longer than they typically last. The most common problem with Philps TVs is the power supply board, which could cause the TV to shut-down by itself. The picture being too-light could happen for several reasons. In general, a repair shop needs to figure out what's wrong.

Camera won't focus when using optical zoom

I had same problem. Found that doing a complete reset fixed it. Go into setup and at end there is a factory reset. If not working after that would suspect your ccd sensor is on way out. They should last 5-7 yrs. Be cheaper to get another cam with way prices have come down

Yes you can get this fixed and it is still worth it. It may cost $200 but it should last a long time.

TV Turning on and off by its self

You have problems with a condenser that allow the power supply to maintan an acceptable level of voltage in order to keep the TV on. take to a tech to be fixed. unfortunatelly, this problem needs a tech to take measures in the circuitry to find the component that causes the problem.
