Question about Dell E173FP 17" LCD Flat Panel Monitor
I turned it on nothing happened not even the power light indication. Power was checked and is okay to the unit. Please help
Dell had to stop making flat panel tv's because of bad temperature sensors and power supplies. The problem was so widespread with all their models that they had to replace units out of warrenty so they wouldn't face a class action lawsuit. I had to send back my 2606c after a few months when it was thankfully covered. Others on the Dell forums reported having to send their 2606c back SEVERAL times.
My advice would be to try to find schematics to the tv and get a quote from a repair shop or do the repairs yourself if your good with fixing electronics. Dell used proprietary parts so I'm not sure how easy they'll be to find. Otherwise It might be cheaper to just get a new tv.
