What exactly is buzzing? is the compressor running without the fan? It may be the contactor buzzing and if nothing is running this may indicate that the breaker is tripped as the control voltage may be coming from the indoor unit. Let me know what you find out

sorry so long to get back, did not know you responded. Your fan motor needs to be replaced, the bearings are probably tight, can be checked by trying to spin by hand with power off

The outside unit fan kicks on but the inside unit does not.

It sounds like your blower motor has gone out., the buzzing would be the motor trying to start but maybe locked up. You most likely have a completely burned out motor so you no longer have any buzzing. The motor can be changed out by a do it yourself-er with some mechanical and electrical know how. If you do it yourself be sure to replace the motor run capacitor.

Inside fan turns on when outside unit is in defrost mode when heat is selected. This causes it to blow cold air for about 10 to 15 minutes prior to the outside fan starting.

The inside fan will run while the unit is in defrost. The electric heat strips should kick on to help prevent you from feeling this cold air. When the unit is in defrost it is essentially running in the A/C mode. You should make sure the electric heat elements are working then go from there.

You amy ahave a bvad capacitor on the outside unit. It starts the fan and the compressor. You can change this yourself. Open the outside panel and you will see a silver canister with terminals out the top. Replace this and I think your problem will go away. On the cap. it will say something like 30uf 5uf 370 ot 440 Just get these numbers and get a new one. Russ

My ac works inside, fan comes on and blows fine ,but outside fan wont kick on just makes buzzing noise and no cold air just air

Hi, normally when your freon is low, system won't work, look for filter dryer, follow high pressure tube from compressor to condenser, filter dryer normally have sight glass where you can see freon moving in system, if there's bubbles, you need freon, freon should be charge until glass get clears, hey remember to always charge from low or liquid side of system.

Goodman air conditioner will not turn on outside

When ever you hear a buzzing like you are hearing means one thing one of the fuses on the outside disconnect box is bad. Only getting 1/2 the power. Find the bad fuse and get the same size and will be good to go. ken
