Sylvania LC320SLX 32 in. LCD TV wont turn on

There is short circuited component/s at its main power supply regulator board. Check and replace them. It is best to replace the circuit board as card bassis, rather than trying to repair it.

The fuse inside the tv has blown so tv wil not work, where can i get the fuse from to replace the blown one

You will have to find an electronics/electrical shop.
Note: A fuse is a safety device which blows when there is more then required amount of current drawn into the system.
1. If you are lucky then it might have blown due to external faults or the fuse itself giving up.
2. Sometimes fuses blow due to other faulty components in the system. so if you are going to change the fuse, chances are that it might blow again if there is some other faulty component in the system.

If possible get an electronic technician to have a look at your system.

Bad storm, lightening strike outside then TV went off and will not come back on.

I would start with your power supply. If you took a surge it is possible that you only blew a fuse. If it is a blown fuse, make sure you only use the same type fuse.

I was watching TV and it just cut off. There is no power light on and the outlets are working and the cord is firmly in.

good day sir/maam, chances are yout tv just blew a fuse, when a fuse blew up, there are several reasons.
  • It protects your tv from further damage.
  • a part of your tv got bad, causing it to blew.
You have a choice of calling your service center/dealer or do it your own.

If you decide to do it yourself, these are the steps you may need to do.
  1. Open the TV's back cover, to access the circuit. locate the blowned fuse.
  2. you may need to pull out the entire board, to test it.
  3. test the switching regulator IC/transistor for shorts, (you may need a multitester).
  4. check for open low value resistors, less than 100 ohms.
  5. You really need to find the cause of the blew up fuse. part by part checking is necessary,
  6. replace the bad parts and test again.
  7. if everthing else fails, you really need to call your service.
note: if you simply replace the fuse without tracing the blew up shorted bad part, chances are the fuse may blew again.

Sanyo 32" lcd tv.power from the mains but no sound or there a fuse in the tv.

My 52" sanya lcd tv blew a fuse - take the back off and follow the power cord up and you should have 2 fuses there - probably the one on the left has blown out. You'll have to learn about the fuse you need - I had to get mine out of NV. Good luck!

125 v 4 amp fuse keeps blowing

if you plugged a 125 volt tv in to a 220 volt outlet you more than likely fried alof of the componets in the tv. Putting a bigger fuse in there is only going to increase the risk of it catching on fire so i would not recomend that. you might replace the power supply and cross your fingers and hope that nothing else cooked when the 220 volts hit it

Sylvania lcd color tv

if you have replaced the fuse already then you know how to open the back of the set . The problem is more than likely one of the diodes in the rectifer circuit . They will be the four large black components The bad one will have to be desoldered and a new one soldered in its place . It will take a small amount of technicial ability but can be done easily at home.

Sylvania 6632 LG blows fuse when plugged in

I too had this problem. I read some posts on this site about how to repair it, and low behold, they worked! I took the back off of the TV, and the first thing I found was the fuse was blown. With my meter, I checked the first 1N5406 rectifier diode after the fuse, and found that it had shorted out. Then I had to learn to desolder the diode, which I learned about on Youtube. I bought a pair replacement diodes at Radioshack for $1.49 and four replacement 125 volt 4 amp fuses. The whole repair cost about $5.00 and a few hours about learning about electronics. The TV works great! Good times!

Insignia LCD TV 26"

A blown fuse is a symptom not the cause... You might take a look at the caps E919,E920,E921 (all 680uf/35v). The board can be accessed by removal of center cover w/o removal of the entire back.
