SOURCE: Won't start up
I had the same problem with my unit too. I tried to reset the unit to no avail. I took it to a recommended panasonic repair shop where they informed me it would probably be $200-250 to repair. My suggestion, since the product is actually not user freindly anyway is to throw the junk in the recycle bin, and not not purchase anymore PANASONIC products, due to thier lack of product support. My unit was barely 2 years old, and I certainly would expect more bang for my buck. Since all the other components of the system were still operable, I attempted to buy and replace only the changer, which they would not do. I had always been happy with panasonic products in the past, but in todays market, they are obviously not interested in repeat business.

SOURCE: dvd tray will not open
Sounds like it's jammed it self up, if you got finger nails try pulling the front on the dvd drive as you push the open button, otherwise look for a little tool of some sort to wedge in the front of the dvd drive to give it alittle movement as you press the open button, it may need a bit, just be careful not to break it lol , if still no luck unscrew the sides and back if it has screws at the back , lift the top off , and push the dvd drive from in there , that will atleast get the disk out, and lets hope solve future problems ,

It means that there's a misaligned disk inside. You need to
1. Unplug it and shake it side-to-side.
2. Then turn it on and press the open/close.
3. If it doesn't open, goto step 1.
4. When it opens, get the disks out, use disk exchange to try to get them all out.
5. Turn it off, unplug it, shake it again and make sure that there isn't another loose disk, if there is, then open it and get it out.
This is a known flaw in certain Panasonic DVD changers. Good luck
