This can sometimes be caused by bad electronics on your cartridges or it may be a contact issue with the electronics. Try taking your cartridges out of your printer and take an eraser to the electronics on the back of your cartridges. In your printer there are contacts where your cartridges line up. Take a q-tip and rubbing alcohol to clean them.

Or the print heads on your cartridges may be missing.

If it is going through the motions of printing, the head is moving back and forward as it should, then this is a simple cartridge issue. Sometimes if the printer has been unused for a while the cartridges can semi-dry. try this link below to get them flowing again. http://www.fixya.com/support/r3986425-unblock_print_heads

My printer is printing blank pages. The test print prints all the colors though. But when I print a document all I get is a blank page. I just installed a new color cartridge.

Mostly, printer cartridge error occurs when the printer head is unable to identify the cartridge properly. And the basic reason behind this is that the cartridge is improperly attached. To reattach the cartridge, turn on the lid of the printer and then remove the cartridge from the printer head. Check the cartridge to make sure that there are no scratches or other damaged parts that can contribute to a printer cartridge error report. Take note that the cartridge should not be left open for more than 30 minutes; otherwise the ink will start to dry up and the cartridge will get clogged.

Printer feeds blank pages.

often in the Printer properties, there is a tickbox, to feed a blank sheet between print jobs. this is to assist in keeping print jobs seperated on busy printers.

Here is the way to change the setting on a single print job:
  1. Click the Start button
  2. Point to Settings
  3. Point to Printers (Windows 2000) or Printers and Faxes (Windows XP).
  4. Right-click the HP LaserJet driver you plan to use (2420)
  5. Click Properties .
  6. On the Advanced tab, uncheck Separator Page.
  7. Click OK to return to the Advanced tab.
  8. Click OK to save the settings.
Making the change a permanent thing For All print Jobs on this printer:
  1. Click the Start button.
  2. Point to Settings .
  3. Point to Printers (Windows 2000) or Printers and Faxes (Windows XP).
  4. Right-click the HP Printer you want to correct the settings to.
  5. Click Properties .
  6. On the Advanced tab, click Printing Defaults .
  7. Change any of the settings on the tabs. These settings become the defaults for the printer.

The printer can not print any paper

First of all we need to check weather it's a hard ware problem or software so try to copy something or press a self test page by pressing the x button and the colour copy button together if that prints fine then it means that its a software issue now click on the start button go to control panel then open printers right click on printers and go to properties print test page from there if it prints a blank page then go to the advance tab of properties and go to print processor then select "winprint" and in next line select RAW now try to print
if still the same then check the operating system if its windows Xp then it should be service pack 1 and above if you do not have service pack download the windows xp service and install it now try to print if still the problem persist then please post the exact model number of the printer and the operating system on your computer

My 7310 all-in-one prints blank pages

Might be the printer ink is finish or the cartridge not touch with the paper while printing. Please check the printer cartridge. First you need to check that. If everything is okay then visit this web site and select your computer operating system and download the printer software.

Pages not showing any print

In this case, the first thing that I would do is re-install the printer.

Delete the printer from your computer then, if you have the installation disk, run the setup program to reinstall the printer and all of its drivers.
If you don't have or don't want to use the installation disk, you can download drivers directly from the manufacturer's Web site here
http://downloads.lexmark.com/perl/downloads/downloads.cgi

I could have provided a link directly to the download page if you would have provided the name of your operating system (Windows 2000, XP, Vista, etc). However, it's fairly simple finding your drivers. After you get to the Lexmark Web site you will need to type your printer model (1100 Colorjet) in the text box.
On the next page, you will need to select your operating system.
The following page will provide a link to download the driver files used to install the printer.
Make sure you download the correct drivers for your printer model. Using the incorrect drivers can cause print issues such as this one or cause wierd characters to print instead of letters. This kind of thing can also happen if one of the entries placed in the Windows registry by the printer software has become corrupt.

Download the file and run it to re-install the printer.
Print a test page from the printer itself to rule out any issues with the hardware. (You might also want to download the users guide if you don't know how to print a test page from the printer). If the page comes out blank, you will have to stop here and find out why you can't print directly from the printer (this would be an issue caused by the printer). If not, you can move on to the next step.

Next, print a test page from the operating system to rule out any problems related to hardware.
Start > Printers and Faxes > Right-click printer > Click Properties on the General Tab > Click Print Test Page.
If both test pages print successfully then you should be able to print anything without a problem and can try to print and email or word document to see how it comes out.
If the test page printed from the printer came out okay but this one came out blank, this indicates a software related issue and you would have to troubleshoot further.

I know this sounds like a lot to do, however, all you need to do is download the correct drivers (unless you choose to use the CD that came with it), uninstall then re-install the printer, and print a test page from the printer, one from the computer, then print any random document.

Hope this helps and thanks for using Fixya.

You probably need an Epson driver for Widows XP. Win 98 just isn't going to cut it for continuous forms printing.
