Question about Myron & Davis AD212
You need first to isolate the problem. The speakers normally do not produce static noises. It picks it up ether from the line or from the other end of the wire. Check first the wiring and the connection if there are exposed conductors. Check if the noise increases or decreases when the volume is changed. If it changes the noise is picked up by the player or it is the player that is causing it. Check also if there would still be noise once your player is connected to a different device. If the other device works properly, I suggest to remove the unit from its place and have it on a different location with out other device to check if the noise comes from an external source. I had seen people whose other electronic device (especially if they emit wireless signals) cause noises.
