If you are using Windows XP, follow this URL: =>

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

This will take you to the Microsoft Power Toys for XP site. Download and install the Tweak UI utility. There will be a tab for for Add / Remove programs which will allow you to remove the stubborn entries for programs that don't disappear after they have been removed.

If you are experienced with REGEDIT then follow this URL: =>

http://windowsxp.mvps.org/AddRemove.htm

This page describes how to go into the registry and remove the entries that way. Good luck and I hope it goes well for you.

Unfortunately there are not a lot of apps available for Vista to scrub the list. The following are 3 URL's for programs you might want to try:

PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT YOU TRY THESE PROGRAMS AT YOUR OWN RISK. I DO NOT EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLY ANY TYPE OF WARRANTY FOR ANY OF THESE PROGRAMS.

    1) http://mytechquest.com/windows/how-to-re...

    2) http://www.download3k.com/System-Utiliti...

    3) http://www.revouninstaller.com/

You might also want to try and get support from either the company who's program will not come off of the list, or the manufacturer of your computer if you still have warranty time left.

You should always remove and uninstall programs from your PC that you are not using. It could be beneficial to your computer's productivity and functioning to free up space. You run the risk of running out of space on your computer if you add too many programs without uninstalling some. It is a relatively easy process, but you should be sure you are not removing a program that is necessary to the operation of your computer.

Click "Start" and select "Programs." Click "Control Panel" and "Programs" and "Programs and Features." Browse the list of programs on your computer and select one that you want to remove. Click "Uninstall." You may be prompted for permission from the administrator to remove the program. Enter the administrator password or confirmation if necessary. Check the properties of the program if it is not listed in "Programs." You can do this by right-clicking on the program desktop icon and selecting "Properties." Check to see if the program is compatible with the version of Windows that you are using. Click "Start" and "Run," to manually remove the programs if the uninstall option does not completely uninstall the program. Type "Regedt32" in the box and click "OK." Locate the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall" registry key and click "Export" under the "File" tab. Click "Desktop" on the "Export Registry File" dialog box. Type "Uninstall" in the "File Name" box and select "Save." The left panel of the Registry Editor will display the programs that are currently installed. Right-click the key in the left panel of the Registry Editor window. Click "Delete." Click "Yes" when you are asked to confirm deletion of the program. Click the "File" menu and select "Exit." This will exit the Registry Editor. Click "Start" and "Control Panel" and click "Add or Remove Programs." Confirm that the program is no longer listed here. Hope this helps.

Computer runs slow, keeps saying virtual memory minimum is too low, i can't istall adobe or activeX

Close as many programs as possible on your pc. Look in the lower right side area near the clock and right click with your mouse on top of any open ICON's and choose exit or close.

Then open disk clean up. You can find it by typing it in the search box on your pc which is located above the start button on the bottom left side of your screen. OR you can click on start, slide up to programs, then go to accessories and slide over to system tools and you will find disk clean up there. Click on disk clean up and open it.

It will scan and tell you how much room you can save by deleting files. It will show you file folders with boxes that you can check. Make sure all boxes are checked. Scroll up and down if necessary to make sure all are marked. Then click "ok". Let it clean out your pc. It may take some time to complete.

When it is finished cleaning, run disk defragmentor. You can find it the same way as you did disk clean up above. It is located in the same place. Open Disk defrag. Click on "C" drive and then click defrag now. let it run and finish.

Then go to your control panel and open install programs. Look at the programs installed on your pc, and uninstall and/or delete any that you do not use.

Then go to control panel, internet options and click on browsing history settings - make sure the memory allocated in this area is set to 50.

Hello,

I know how frustrating that can be.

Try the following:

Hold down the Windows Key (usually next to Ctrl key) and press the letter R. This should bring up the RUN

Type: msconfig then click OK. This will bring up the System Configuration Utility

Click on the STARTUP tab

Uncheck any boxes that have the word "hpproductassistant" or something close (example: "HP assistant", etc)

Click OK and click the option to reboot your computer

You may see the following message:
moz-screenshot.pngrampcs.jpg

If you do make sure to check box then click OK

That should do it.

Best of luck.

Want to delete free ride games get the free games off my computer

Please click the start button in the lower left hand side of your screen.
-Next choose control panel
-Depending on your version of Windows you'll need to find the Add/Remove Programs in control panel, if you're using XP it will be quite self evident (you may have to switch to classic view, a self evident option in control panel). If you're using Vista or 7 go Programs-->Uninstall Program or just Uninstall Program if you see it available under the word Programs.
-Select each of the items you want to delete one at a time and carefully follow the instructions of the un-install program. Some programs may be tricky and try to get you to sign up for something new while deleting your program so pay attention and keep an eye of for check boxes.
Hope this helps, Thank you.

Lost my contact list

At the top of your friends list window click on Contacts and make sure the "show offline contacts" is checked, this will make your friends show on your list whether they are online or offline. After checking this and none of them still show up on your list then you have an internal problem with messenger and you need to uninstall messenger Completely so you can get rid of the corrupted file that is causing your problem and get a clean install. When you uninstall not all of the yahoo messenger files are deleted from your Program Files, so if the problem you are having is caused by a corrupted file then the problem will still be there when you install it again. So what you need to do is uninstall messenger then go to your Program files and delete the yahoo folder. This will get rid of all remaining files especially the corrupted ones.

To uninstall you need to click on the Start button(the one on your task bar) then go to Control Panel then to Add/Remove Programs, find yahoo messenger in the list and click on it then on uninstall.<< this is for XPTo uninstall in Vista click on start then Control Panel then on Uninstall a Program in the new window find yahoo messenger click it to uninstall it.To find and delete the Yahoo folder click on the START button in your task bar then on My Computer then C: drive then Program Files then right click on the Yahoo folder and Delete it. It's a good idea tI do recommend you get the 8.1.0.421 version as it is the most stable a bug free version of messenger !!

When you download it just save it to your desktop and then run the installer from there. If you have XP just double click on it to start the install. To install messenger on Vista you need to download messenger to your desktop. Then Right click on the installer and then click on "Run as Administrator" to get it to install correctly.you will not lose your contacts by uninstalling messenger as they are saved on the yahoo servers.o reboot your PC now to make sure it's all gone out of your system.
