SOURCE: Hi! What cable/adapter should I

I doubt that a cable/adapter will work as the software is expecting a something connected to the serial port and not the usb port.I could however be wrong as I don't know what software you are using.
A serial to usb adapter is commonly available
http://www.amazon.com/RS232-9-pin-Adapter-Transparent-Blue/dp/B0012ZOCI8
but have a look here if I am correct about your software

I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply.

Hi! What cable/adapter should I buy so I can use foot pedal in my laptop using USB? Foot pedal is 9-pin, used for transcription. Thank you.

Hi,

The following link should meet the requirements assuming your existing cable is defective.

Appreciate if anyone could please advice me: where

Dear Anna,The foot pedal is actually a switch that activates when you kick. It is better to replace this one with one which is used in the industry. I have addvised many to buy a foot pedal that is used for motors in industry and that is very commonly available in hardware shops speciallising in machine spares. You will get to see different models, choose one which has a rugged platform with a good action. I am sure this will work out better than the original. Pleae connect the two wires according to the sam pattern , do not forget to switch off your connections when attempting the job. Hope this advice helps. Good day

I lost the Adaptor for charger where I will buy it?

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, most replacement AC adapters could be purchased from electronics, A/V shops/stores. All that is required is to state the secondary voltage requirement and the current rating which normally would be printed on the power specifications of your unit (rear or bottom). For your model something like 9VDC, 3.0Amps.

Alternately, pls try Wal-Mart for a universal adapter less than USD20. Being universal, it comes with different selectable voltages and plugs to match your requirement..

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.
