The PSD file mainly created by Photoshop tool, as per my advice you can try to open your corrupted or heavily damaged PSD file with different Photoshop version because it can be happen your PSD file is not completely corrupted, may be any chance to view your PSD file if this technique not work then I personally recommend a third party tool I give you a link where you can download free psd viewer tool and you can open and convert you PSD file by this link.

SOURCE: problem with adobe photoshop cs2
this happens a lot with the "portable" version and it sometimes happens when you have cracked it
if neither is your case it may be possible something deleted the info from your registry, just reinstall the program to solve it

SOURCE: Adobe acrobat v7 can't open file
1. Exit Acrobat.
2. Choose Start > Run, and type: %APPDATA%\Adobe\Acrobat\ into the Open text box. Click OK.
3. Right-click either the 6.0 or 7.0 folder, and choose Delete.
4. Start Acrobat and attempt to print.
Note:Acrobat preference files contain application settings such as toolbar arrangements. When you restart Acrobat, new preferences are created automatically based on application defaults. Deleting preference files will not result in the loss of saved documents.
Or, if u have having Quarkexpress in your machine update the version. Quarkexpress also creates PDF files, maybe this is where it was created from

Um, using a 5 year old program on a brand new OS, and having it not work is NOT Apple's fault. You didn't have to upgrade to Leopard. That was your choice, and you should have done your research before doing so it it meant that much to you.
However, you can upgrade to CS3 from 7 (much cheaper) if you want. Otherwise, don't install Leopard, simple as that. No one screwed anyone, you did it to yourself. My goodness, asking one company to maintain support for another company's 5 year old program instead of making necessary upgrades is very very silly.

this is not a hardware error actually photoshop writes temporary files, for which it uses hard drive, its alway a better to have scratch disk other then the drive where its installed, you can change this, by going to edit, preferences, then check plug ins-scratch disk, check your first scratch disk other than c, say the drive which has the maximum space, then select any drive
how do you like the solution please rate it i will appreciate your comments

Was it the preferences file that you deleted? The description you gave to your problem sounds like your running a windows machine instead of Mac so i'll give you keys for PC. While program is launching hold down the following keys "Control+Shift+Alt" then when there is a screen that asks to delete the prefs files select "yes".
