I bought a Toshiba Satellite P105-S6084 ON EBAY not realizing that it had a operating system on it called ZORIN 11 . I do not want this operating system on it , I know nothing about it and prefer Windows that it came with. How do I go about putting it back to the way it was with the operating system that came with it? I don't know much about computers or systems or drivers etc , so I am really confused on what to do. Do I have to go out and buy a windows cd or what ?

Take battery out of the back of laptop, put back in. if that doesnt help:

1.) remove battery from back of latptop
2.) remove cmos battery should be accessable through one of the panels on bottom of latop.

When CD/DVD related software is installed (such as iTunes, Nero, virtual CD software), they install filters into the registry, which can cause compatibility problems.

Follow these instructions to use the Toshiba Upper/Lower Limit Repair Tool to make the CD / DVD drive reappear in Windows Explorer (My Computer):

1. Click the following link to download the Toshiba Upper/Lower Limit Repair Tool Save the file to the Windows Desktop.
2. For Windows XP, double-click the file RmvFltrs.exe on the Windows Desktop to start the installation program.
   
   For Windows Vista, right-click the RmvFltrs.exe file, and choose the "Run as Administrator" option. If a User Account Control dialog box displays the message, "An unidentified program wants access to your computer", click Allow.
3. Follow the onscreen prompts to complete the installation.
4. Restart the Computer.

1) Run Regedit (Start -> Run -> Regedit)
2) Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
3) In the right pane, delete the "UpperFilters" key, and delete the "LowerFilters" key.
4) Reboot.

If your CD/DVD programs stop working, you will need to reinstall them (preferably with an updated version).
