Question about Kenmore Washing Machines
I am having trouble replacing my belt on my washer. Is there a step by step solution? My washer is older but is good. Kenmore 70 series
I've got them down to 10 minutes, but here goes. remove the bolts going into pump, but do not remove pump . remove the transmission bolt with the spacer and this is where you push the belt through and around pulleys.. this is a little more difficult. you will need to take off the yoke spring and move the transmission pulley around until the spin control magnet catches for spin. it will begin to take pressure off of clutch. you will need a long screwdriver or something like it to apply pressure down on the clutch plate this is to allow to to slip the belt thru the bar the spring came off of and under it.. you can then pull the belts around all pulleys and put everthing back in its place and your done...
