Question about Apple iPhone Smartphone
Yeah, just plug in the iPhone and restore it to factory settings. Pretty straight forward.
If you can't get iTunes to recognize it, then you might have to use recovery mode. Plug in the iPhone to the computer. Press and hold power button and home button until the iPhone powers off. Once this occurs, wait 5 seconds exactly!!! Then release the power button but keep holding onto the home button. iTunes should recognize the phone being in recovery mode.
From there, click restore and you're done.

I restored my apple iphone to original factory setting and its still saying insert sim card what is likely the problem. an in Nigeria and online now. Kindly assist

Looks like you don have and iphone i fix that problem already first you turn the phone off wait a cuple secons then turn it back on after you press the power button hold the home button and plug it in to itunes at the same time the phone will go into recovery mode then fallow the steps on itunes. itunes will down load a program to restore the iphone to factory settings .you are going to loose all your contacts and the music and videos and everything else you put into your iphone but thats some thing you gona have to live with if you want a working iphone i did it to the one i got and it worked SO THERE IS A WAY for all those that think other wise
