Touch buttons dont work properly.

Your Laptop is "booting up", which is another way to say that it's starting up. When it is doing this, it has a regular starting procedure and it is loading the Operating System and then the Programs you have installed on your Laptop. After installing a large program, or some software that requires a quick update/scan of your laptop - like antivirus software, it can take a few minutes to finish starting up your laptop. When it has finished loading all of the software from its startup menu and updating certain software, then any buttons (like volume or CD eject buttons that you may have pressed while it was busy starting/booting up).... these actions will then begin to be recognized by the laptop. So, while your laptop was starting up, if you were trying to turn up the volume on a CD that was in your laptop, nothing happened, and then decided to try to pop the CD out, and nothing happened, when the laptop was finally ready to acknowledge the buttons that were pushed, they seemed to happen automatically.

Bottom Line: Give your laptop enough time to startup completely on its own. While your laptop is busy during startup, there will be a little light on your mouse pad area that looks like a round storage barrel facing upward. After all your normal startup software has finished booting up and antivirus software has finished their tasks, you should be good to go. For me, my laptop has a 60-GB hard drive and I use Yahoo-IM (that starts up when my laptop starts up), and I have McAfee antivirus (which searches for updates when my laptop starts up, my wireless connection software looks for available wireless routers to connect to (not just mine), Windows Vista searches and installs updates, Google + MySpace + Twitter search for their updates, etc..... the barrel icon mentioned above stops blinking and that tells me that my laptop is now ready. I just tested my laptop startup and it took 9 minutes for my laptop to finish booting up (I am using my desktop for this message). You might want to DEFRAGment your Hard Drive, which should help, but this may take a few hours to complete depending on the size of your hard drive. If you have an Antivirus Program, it likely has a Performance / Maintain Computer option which should also help.
