Anything that works well is always worth investigating for a repair
it could be a simple fuse for that side amplifier, loose , broken speaker wire
have it checked out and then decide if it is worth repairing

Only side of the front is working Yamaha hrt 5970

USA MODEL OR NOT? Yamaha hrt 5970 and AVR, Receiver. old old old legacy AVR sans any HDMI ports./
year 2006 made. 16 years old, no problem but age matters.

stereo two front connectors where??
are you inputting or outputting?, not told.
not told names on them jacks.
far left side is 1 phones
left side speaker A and B button selectors.
and on the right side, (usa)
1, 2, 3, 4 JACKS
VIDEO(CMP) , LEFT AUDIO RIGHT AND PORTABLE.(mini)

NOT TOLD AT ALL WHAT IS IN YOUR HAND.
SPEAKERS OR PHONES OR
A VIDEO AUDIO SOURCE OUTPUTS TO RIGHT SIDE INPUTS?
??????????????????????
I WILL NOT TALK BASS, AS THAT IS UP TO YOUR SPEAKERS.
OR A SUPER BAD SOURCE MEDIA.
there are 6 jacks on the front on our USA model same/.

12 phones left is L/R phones only ear phones
the next to 13. are buttons to pick speaker set A or B
on the right on USA model are inputs
that can be connected to old DVD players, analog out.
or any RCA jacked device made (called line out to these jacks)
video jack is only for composite video sources.
video , left and right audio.
and last is jack. called "portable"any portable player with this cable works, (mp3 players phones) or other things.
portable mini jack is in fact stereo
but the source must be stereo too or will fail.
my wild wild guess is you connected something to jack portable
and forgot to say what. (and fails here) we can not guess and not fail..

jacks-undefined-undefined-0.jpg the manual is free but does not cover, using bad devices inputted
a good test of far right jack is MP3 portable player stereo player and with a high quality MP3 song track
or a player DVD or player does WAV or FLAC.
for bass the source must be good.

How do i fix a noise problem on 6.1 avr 135 ?same trouble occur on alls channels,a high frequency sound disturbing listening.neither inputsi used(cd-dvd-tape)

There are many reasons this may happen, but without having the unit on the bench, it will be hard to tell. It may be oscillating, which would make that sound. I have connected by Bose accoustimass 10 series speakers to Yamaha amp and not getting any sound from from front left and right speakers.Checked the spreakers by swapping and they are in working...

hi,
First off all you have to check the frond L/R out put of your Yamaha AVR. One more thing is check the is the speaker A/B option. you can see the selection button on the frond panel of your receiver. If the out put of the AVR is ok then you have to check the Network circuit inside the acoustimass sub. You have to remove the back panel of sub. There you can see a network circuit board. first of all you have to check the 5 lamps at its input stage. It is used as a protection for the speakers. check the continuity of the five lamps. If any one found open then you have to replace the same. Have added the picture of that network. you can see the five lamps in the left side. Also check the fusible resistors in the board. its value will be written on its top.
ok

I have Harmon Kardon AVR 25 ii receivers and I have attached it to Bose 701 front speakers and three other Bose surround speakers and an subwoofer. All the speakers work except for right speaker, I need...

To locate the problem...a) Cable
Test if right cable is ok, by interchanging the rt/left cables.

b) Test Bose right speaker
Connect the Bose right speaker to HK's left channel. Works? Then Bose right speaker is ok.

c) Test HK's right output by connecting the left Bose speaker to HK's right output.
Does not work?

Bose Acoustic Wave music system popping speaker

Had the same problem on the same machine 15 or so years ago...took it to the Bose factory shop in Framingham (or real close )Massachusetts, and they fixed it in 20 minutes...cost around $50...at the time they said it was a real common problem, and an easy fix.

I lost sound on one side of bose stereo system., Seems its the power ouput on the right side speaker, i changed speakers and the right one works when plugged into the left output. How do I open the bose...

first lets check
no need to open any thing

1) just trace the wire of working channel and plug out that and connect to opposite side of that channel

for example: if front left is not working, remove pin of front right and plug it into front left

after that listen the sound if front left is working then no need to open amplifier just check the wires of satellite speaker which is not working

how to check broken wire:

1) just observe your speaker nearly if you found any screw holes open it, if u can not find any screw holes remove front net which is fitted by press lock or any stepped groove, you can remove that and if you are removing front net you have to open speaker from casing then after you can find speaker's wire shouldered or bolted to it just check wire and go on after that u'll be sure that weather your speaker is failed or wire!!!

enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Front bose speakers and bass module stopped puttimg put sound

If you're saying you hooked the Bose speakers directly to the Yamaha's amp instead of the prescribed way through their own bass module - they're cooked.

Denon AVR 2807 with Bose Acoustimass 15

Well,i can tell you are not very focus, cause you posted Denon AVR-2807 with Bose AC 15 problem, but under your details, you put down AVR-5807!
First of all,it is so unfortunate that you are NOT able to gain and experience to true ability in sound for this wonderful receiver when you are using a dual tweeters speakers and expect to have good sound separation as a TWO WAY speakers(a tweeter and a midrange-for true high frequency and mid frequency sound separation.)
Secondly, you have defeated the audio configuration of the Denon AVR-2807,since all your speakers are control BY the Bose subwoofer.
Now,i could show you a way to hook this up,and it doesn't matter how you connect them, they are the "bicycle tires" installed with a "Porche"engine if you know what i mean.
If you want a good recommendation for your "beast",i will more than happy to show you the way!
Cheers,
