At first it seems like the headphone adaptor can be pushed all the way in. It should seat flush with the the step on the plug though. When properly seated the problem is solved.

Why is there no sound on my NoKia Lumia 520 windows 8 ?

I ran into this same problem with my Nokia 900. It happened right after I plugged and unplugged a headphone into the headphone jack, so I suspect Nokia ships with a defective headphone jack sensor, because this happened with the second phone after I returned the first one and got a new one. (Note to self, don't plug a headphone into a Nokia phone). I am able to temporarily get around the issue by going to the dialer and calling ##634#, then going to the audio loopback diagnostic and starting the loopback for the phone and choosing loudspeaker. This does not last permanently, so I have never found a solution to the issue, other than using blue tooth or speaker phone.

Cannot hear phone ringing or people talking or hear phone dailing out tone.

Sounds like your speaker or earpiece could be bad on your phone. Return to your carrier or call customer service from a different phone.

My sony vaio vpceb24en e series is having a speaker problem, the speaker is not playing any sound in the normal case but if we plug in to earphones it functions smoothly

Buy some contact cleaner and flush the ear plug, and push the head phone jack in and out a few times, and repeat 2 or 3 times hopefully that will return the sound through the speakers.

NOKIA N73 screen shows headset mode on the top right even when not connected to the headset.....so i am not able to hear anything even when i connect the headset it is not responding & i can't hear...

Hi Saik,
I think problem is caused by unplugging the jack before pausing/Stopping the music.
1) Plug in a headset into the jack
2) Open up a media player (either the MP3 player or any online music)
3) Begin to let the music play.
4) Stop the music from playing after a few seconds
5) Completely exit out of the media application.
6) With the headset still plugged in, wait about 15-30 seconds. (this is so that the media/pandora app task can "fully" stop from running)
7) Unplug the headset.
The phone should now be able to emit sound from the earpiece.

If the above does not work, other methods I have read tell you to plug in a headset & play music. While the music is playing, quickly remove & insert the headset into the jack (not too rough so if doesn't break anything) until you hear the music coming out of the speaker.

Finally, if you still have the issue, try rebooting. Turn off the Phone, Remove the battery completely and reinsert after 30 seconds. Turn on the Phone.

Hopefully that should fix the issue.

My LG Chocolate touch vx8575 phone won't play sounds

It sounds like a failure in the earbud jack. Try plugging and unplugging a few times. If something got inside the jack, that could cause this issue. Shake the phone while you plug and unplug...

How do you connect your lg gt500 to your car stereo?

on my lg gt500 there is no built in transmiter like some other phones eg- lg arena and it also does'nt have a standerd head phone jack it has a mini USB conection port, i brought a devise that has a mini USB plug on one end that plugs into the phone and at the other end it has a normal head phone jack, i also brought a small transmiter from ebay for a couple of £s, i plug this into the haedphone socket tune it into a station on your cars head unit while the music on the phone is playing so you can hear when it's connected, it takes about 5 minutes to do probly less actualy, this works a treat in my car, you can change the sound settings on your phones music player AND on your cars head unit to get the desired sound output, it's all realy easy, good luck.

D-Link DI-534 Starting up problems

Try resetting the router . Press the reset button for 10 seconds and after 10 seconds unplug the power cable but continue pressing the reset button for another 30 seconds after 30 seconds plug in back the power cable and continue pressing the reset button for 10 seconds and release it after 10 seconds.

try to open an Internet browser and type in 192.168.0.1 on the address bar. It should give you the DLink page. Once you have that configure your connection.

Jack problem - no sound

I have this problem too. It is probably the jack in the TX. Mine only plays through one channel. It can be repaired as well.

Another option you can try is getting drivers to run a bluetooth wireless stereo head through it. It's some dough to do it but it takes care of the jack issue.
