Changing the battery should not cause it to stop working but you can try programming. Press and immediately release the smart/learn button and then walk over and key in your four digit code and press enter.

Why does the information panel on my XJ6 show "Brake pads wearing thin" when this is not so. Also sometimes shows "Battery needed in key fob" - False!

Brake Pads have a built in sensor that triggers when pad gets too close to rotor. In some vehicles this can be adjusted. As regards to the Key Fob, try changing out the battery. If this does not work ,pay the man.Take it to your dealer.

Where is the hole for the override key.? Hasn't been used for years and the batteries are flat so knowing the code is useless

It should be under the key pad. remove key pad like you were going to change the battery and you should see it in the mount plate.

Bumil safe

The black plastic piece under the key pad is supposed to slide to the left and come off in your hand and the batteries should be right there: 4 AA batteries. When you take the key pad off and have a view of the batteries loom for two phillip head screws, remove the screws and the black piece and there should be an overide key whole. I hope this helps.

Nissan 2004 key fob not working

Have you tried replacing the rubber pad buttons? We had the same problem. The remote quit working and we changed the battery and it still didn't work. I was actually online looking for a replacement and came across something about the the rubber pad buttons. We ordered a replacement for $9.95, it came two days later and was a cinch to change out. The remote has been fine, ever since.

Key pad stopped working

Have you changed the battery in it? Most often, this is the cause for key pad failure. Or if you have already changed the battery, is the + & - facing the proper direction?

Key fob stopped working the door locks. I changed

the circuit boards on those factory remotes, sometime break where the battery is clipped in, check to make sure the solder is holding the clip properly and it is not loose, also they remote may need to be programmed to the vehcile with a scan tool, usually only found at GM, Also the rubber part of the remote on the inside where the pad touchs the circuit board, uses a small screwdriver and touch the exposed circuit, if the remote locks the doors, try putting in tiny peice of alumumn tape of the inside pad, the connectiveness of the rubber wears off. If not try above or dealer.

Outside garage door key pad will not function in very cold weathe

Yes, that is an issue.  My suggestion is to replace the outside keyless with a wired keyless (Domino GD-1).  This will get your batteries inside so they can stay warm.
