You may have to toggle the display outputs on your computer. If it is a laptop have a look along the f keys at the top of the keyboard. One of them should say crt/lcd or have a picture of a screen or a little square depending on the model of laptop. Hold down the fn (function) key and press this key and it should allow you to toggle between screens.

If this doesn't work, or if it is not a laptop machine, try clicking the right mouse button on the desktop and selecting either "Nvidia Control Panel" or "ATI Catalyst Control" depending on the machine. In there you will find the option to switch on your external display.

I can't get my Olevia tv (537-B11) to scan for channels

I don't know this model of TV, however, you may find that you need to use the Source button on the remote to cycle through the available inputs & select digital tuner as the input source before you press the Menu button & go into the setup section.

The store demo mode is stuck on my insignia tv. the user guide says go to menu and then setup and select plug & play. however the plug and play option is grey and it wont let me select it.

Are you using an HDMI cable? Go to input and select TV. Then you should be able to access the Plug & Play option and be able to turn off the Demo Mode.

My PC doesn't load

Restart computer. Watch closely at the bottom of the screen for an F command.

This F command will allow to enter setup.

When computer is loading, start pressing F12 repeatedly until setup is opened.

When setup opens, you'll see a file menu that runs across the top of the screen. It will start from the left and move to the right - press F9. When prompted, select "restore default settings". Move to each file menu and press F9 and set "default settings".

When you come to the Exit menu, do the same thing, then select the Exit Menu, and choose the "Exit Saving Settings" option.

Once it exits, it will automatically restart and begin the loading process into Windows (or your operating system).

If the OS does not load, you will need to re-enter setup: under the file menu, search for an option that will allow you to enable a second F command which should be F5 or F10. Once this is done, go to exit, and select "exit saving settins".

The computer will begin loading, but you will want to restart the computer - watch again at the bottom of the screen for the new F command - remember what it is when you are in setup, and begin pressing it as before with the F12 command - the F5 (F10) will bring you to an option menu for starting the computer - select the "start in safe mode" option.

If the computer does not load in safe mode, you will need to format the hard drive and re-install the Operating System.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

How do I get my pc connection to work on my samsung plasma tv? the pc option on the menu setup is greyed out. please advise.

most need to have a pc hooked up and the desktop extended to the tv before it will ungray
some will only handle 640x480 even if its a 720 or 1080 tv. right click on your desktop and go to properties or display settings. then click the box that tells it to extend and set it to a low resolution to start. then you can select the input. . then try upping the res to see what it handles.

I was trying to hook up my laptop (Dell Inspiron 2200)(windows xp) to my television. I managed to get the laptop to go to the tv screen, but when computer rebooted, I got a black screen and cannot get rid...

use the F8 button before windows starts. as the laptop show the manufacturer's screen. keep tapping it gently and fast until you get froted with the bootup options screen. Select whichever option reads the word "VGA" in it. Then it will boot into windows. Enter the multiple screen setup (could be hard given that screen could show all icons and windows big) and select proper settings. Restart the PC and ensure the options remain active.

No RGB signal power will be shut down

Try this. With the PC and TV on, in RGB mode, go into the menu screen of the TV with the remote (could also be done while in TV mode). Go to the far right tab "Setup". Use the arrow keys to go down to the "System Reset" option. When prompted "are you sure" select "Yes". Power the monitor off and on, and the problem should be gone.
